What are the most common Mesotherapy treatments?
Mesotherapy is used to treat cellulite, stretch marks, scars, wrinkles, spot reducing and contouring areas of fat. Examples are abdominal weight, saddle bags, double chin, flabby arms, and cellulite on thighs and buttocks.
Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy is the practice of microinjecting conventional or homeopathic medication and vitamins into the mesoderm, or middle layer of the skin. This process enables corrective treatment to a specific area of the body. The technique was formulated in 1952 by Dr. M. Pistor in France, and was recognized by the French National Academy of Medicine in 1986.
Advantages
Advantages of Mesotherapy are numerous and include eliminating side effects and contraindications associated with many medications. In many instances, intolerance to a medication has to do with it reaching parts of the body that have no need for it. With Mesotherapy, the target area is reached immediately - and undiluted - the amount of medicine required is much reduced. This is more cost efficient, and the results are instantaneous. The microinjections themselves are relatively painless. The only side effect is the possibility of minor bruising.
Weight Loss and Body Contouring
The Mesotherapy protocol using injections for weight loss and body sculpting reduce and contour specific undesired pockets of fat. This method targets receptors on the fat cell's surface which produces lipogenesis (fat production) and lipolysis (fat breakdown). Women have many fat receptors below the waist which attract and store fat, making it difficult for women to lose weight in this area. These receptors produce fat when stimulated by carbohydrates, fat ingestion, amino acids, hormones and alcohol.
A medical history and physical examination is required preceding treatment. Based on individual requirements, the doctor will select a formula consisting of several medications. The formula is injected into the skin, where it will slowly diffuse into the fat and produce fat breakdown. The number of required treatments will vary.
Cellulite
More than 90 percent of women are affected by cellulite. This condition can be disfiguring and affects a person's overall sense of well being. One often reads that there is no cure for cellulite. This is untrue. Mesotherapy has been a safe and successful cellulite treatment in many European and South American countries fror years.
There are numerous causes of cellulite, including:
- Poor circulation
- Defective connective tissue
- Enlarged fat cells
- Poor diet and nutrition habits
The doctor selects and creates a Mesotherapy formula based on the patient's cellulite. During treatment, the formula is injected into the cellulite at one inch intervals along the affected area. The process of correcting cellulite requires approximately 10 sessions, depending on the degree of cellulite.
Aging Skin: Mesolift
Mesotherapy is a safe and natural alternative to traditional cosmetic procedures particularly when recovery time and danger of side effects are of concern. The Mesolift process delivers vitamins, minerals and amino acids directly into the skin to nourish, rejuvenate, promote collagen and elastin production and stimulate metabolism. As skin ages, circulation decreases, resulting in a decreased oxygen and nutrient flow. This prevents the flushing out of toxins and leads to premature aging.
After treatment, patients commonly describe their skin as looking rested, radiant, glowing, adn firmer. Mesotherapy is a highly effective rejuvenating treatment on its own, as well as an excellent addition to any arsenal of anti-aging strategies including botox, laser resurfacing, fillers, peels, antioxidants, and topical creams.
Mesolift can also be used to tone and tighten sagging skin on the neck, legs, abdomen, and arms.
Mesotherapy is based on a simple principle: It is a medicinal bullet that is delivered directly to a target in the body.
